Evangelism is sometimes intimidating. One of the major reasons Christians do not share their faith is because of fear. But everyone already has the two most basic skills needed to do evangelism. Everyone knows how to talk and how to eat. Sounds simple. It is.
Jesus modeled this in His ministry. Matthew invited Jesus to a dinner party and He went. Talk and eat. Jesus invited himself to Zacchaes’ home for dinner. Talk and eat. Jesus got criticized for “eating with sinners” but He did it anyway. Eating provided a natural platform for talking and Jesus did it.
Sometimes we make this too difficult. One of the easiest ways to evangelize is to simply invite someone to dinner or meet at a restaurant. Food and conversation go hand in hand. One of the basic reasons Christians limit their potential for evangelism is because all their talking and eating is with Christians. Why not try it with non-Christians?
