Never under-estimate the impact of your evangelism. You may not be able to point to much by way of immediate results but that may be because you may not know the back-story. Here is an example written by missionary David McCrum in South Africa (

“Thirty-two years ago a little boy put a gospel tract on the window of a parked car. The man who read that tract got saved, became a preacher, and has since planted two churches. The little boy was David McCrum, and the man was Miles Schiller (pictured fourth from left). Bill Meyer then trained Miles and Cyril, and Miles then trained Jeremy. These four men have had a tremendous impact on church planting in South Africa, and it is a blessing to work in partnership with these men.”

You just never know what will happen because of your efforts in evangelism… regardless of how insignificant it may appear at the time. David kicked off a chain reaction simply with a tract on a windshield of a car. Fortunately, God is the one keeping the records and you will never know the results of your evangelism until you are in heaven.
