Coca Cola beat us to it

I’m upset.  Coca Cola did it first.  Jesus said to take the gospel to every person every place on the planet.  Coke beat us to it.

You can travel anywhere in the world and buy a cola.  Granted, it may cost you $4 in Denmark… but it is available.  You can be floating down the Amazon River and watch a Coke can come floating by.  Coca Cola is everywhere.  So why did we let them get ahead of us?

Jesus articulated the grandest  vision of all time.  (“He said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.”  Mark 16:15)  He set that goal long before Coke came along.

On October 31, 2011 the world population will reach 7 billion. Neither my calculator or my brain can handle that number.  But I do know that the longer we wait, the more this goal races out in front of us.  If there was ever a time in world history where we need to accelerate missions…  it is today.

Surely, we can’t believe that sugar water is more important than living water!
