Face Your Fears

Rick Oglesby is talking right now in the Harvesters Workshop about facing our fears… His recommendations are to:

1.  Change our focus. Like special ops soldiers going into battle, we fall back on our training and focus on their target.  It is not about how I am doing but rather that the gospel is the power of God unto salvation… that Christ is with us.

2.  Saturate ouselves with Jesus. He told us to go and will be with us.  As the living Christ, the great news is His resurrection.  He said “I am the resurrection and the life.”  We   have a living Christ and a living gospel.  We have his authority to deliver this message. He has our back. His commission becomes our mission.

3.  Witness with others. Acts is full of illustrations of evangelism being done as a group.  Having others with us gives us courage.

4.  Ask for boldness.  When the believers in Acts were attacked, they re-grouped and sought the fullness of the Spirit of God.  The result of Spirit filling is boldness.
