a, E, i, o, u

What’s the power of a single vowel? Check it out.

I’ve got to go to church or I get to celebrate Christ with my brothers. I get to spend time in the word this afternoon or I’ve got to do Bible study. I’ve got to pray this morning or I get to talk with my Father.

To see worship as a get to turns it into a privilege rather than a meeting. To get to spend time in Bible study changes it from an “I better do it” to a time of spiritual nourishment. Just as one sugar cube sweetens a cup of coffee, so a single vowel transforms both perspective and practice.

Many think of evangelism as a “got to.” As you mentor others to witness, stress the get to attitude. It’s our privilege to get to represent the God of the universe. Sharing Christ is to get an opportunity to see lives changed. It’s an open door to get to experience suffering for the gospel’s sake. Communicating the good news is to get to team with the Holy Spirit.

Well, now you get to add another weapon to your equipping arsenal. You get to aid the development of a biblical attitude. You even get to model that mindset. A single letter is so simple and so powerful! Get with it!
