My granddaughter learned to ride her bike yesterday. Her face shone like the newborn sun as she came wobbling by. She’s a goal driven little gal and she nailed this one. Now she’s making future bike plans.
She told me later that it was her fear that held her back before. “Which fear? Falling or failing,” I asked. “Both,” she admitted.
Fear is so powerful we can even beat ourselves up for feeling afraid. After all, if we’re close to the Lord, we shouldn’t be afraid to witness, should we? Well, the truth is that fear is normal. Ask Paul: “I was with you in weakness and fear and much trembling.” So be like Paul and pedal on.
