The IFCA National Convention is taking place right now in Orlando, Florida. The theme is “Serious Ministry in a World of Amusement.” This is not a tirade against Mickey Mouse. No one is upset with Sea World. But the convention is focused on being serious about a few things like: the Bible, purity and Jesus Christ.
One of the seminar tracks is entitled “REACH.” This is a three-hour time slot to focus on evangelism and expansion of HARVESTERS in the IFCA. One of the components of this workshop was a panel of several pastors who have churches that are aggressive and intentional with evangelism.
One of those pastors was John Shim who ministers in Berkeley, California. It was impressive to hear him talk about evangelism as a membership requirement. They have a training system in their church whereby everyone is equipped to present the gospel. You cannot be a member if you are yet unable to do that. Every member is able to clearly articulate the gospel.
What an incredible example. How about your church?
