Leading without a title

The ideal would be for every church to have a full time pastor plus a full time evangelist.  The reality is that it probably won’t happen.  Most churches have a pastor, but they don’t have an evangelist on staff.  The next best would be to identify someone in the church who is an evangelist.  That person may not be paid or able to work full time but at least someone is serving in that role.  But even that may may not happen.

Don’t be discouraged if you are an evangelist.  You can still lead even if you are not identified as the church’s evangelist.  You don’t need a title.  You don’t need an office.  You don’t need a position or any recognition.  Just lead.  Start by leading people to Christ.  Then one-by-one, lead someone else in the church in training them to do evangelism.

A nameplate on an office door does not make you a leader… leading makes you a leader.  So go ahead and lead.
