Contributing Authors

Discussions on “Wavelengths” generally fall into the categories listed below.  Each category has a designated moderator who seeks to stimulate and guide the discusssion with a view toward achieving a growing understanding how of how the category relates to the Great Commission and contributes toward the purpose of IFCA International.

Doctrine

  • preservation, defense, and proclamation of the historic, fundamental teachings of the Christian faith as set forth in the Word of God, and a biblical world view as derived from its teachings. 

Preaching and Teaching

  • preaching that emphasizes sound exegesis; historical, grammatical, literal interpretation; with relevant application. 
  • accuracy and appropriate creativity in the teaching of God’s Word enabling people to understand and apply God’s truth, and to develop a consistent world view.

Body Life

  • pursuit and promotion of godly character, moral and ethical conduct, and personal integrity.
  • practice and promotion of both private and corporate prayer.
  • development of spiritual gifts and ministry skills, encouraging each one to be a fully functioning minister in the local body
  • recognizing and responding to physical, material, and emotional needs of people, bringing them the touch of God’s love and compassion as well as His redemption.
  • committment to biblical unity, and resolving any disharmony among believers in a Christ-honoring fashion.
  • biblical separation and church discipline exercised with a humble, gracious spirit and applied in such a way as to strengthen the body of Christ.
  • biblical worship

Leadership

  • development of leaders who reflect the selflessness of Christ in their leadership.
  • identifying and preparing church leaders for the future.
  • facilitating an apprenticeship network for the development of effective pastoral leaders.
  • the pursuit of unity in the advancement of our common cause.
  • generosity and integrity in the stewardship of financial resources.
  • regular reassessment of methodology, activities, and vision regarding their effectiveness for the glory of God.

Church Planting/Missions

  • passionate proclamation of the Gospel to all people.
  • global proclamation of the gospel to people of every nation, tribe, ethnic and language group and the establishment of biblical local churches
  • aggressive involvement in planting, establishing, and nurturing biblical, local churches in the United States of America

Generational/Ethnic Diversity

  • reaching, teaching, equipping and involving all ages and groups (men, women, boys, and girls) so that each one may be presented complete in Christ.
  • reflection of the ethnically and culturally blended nature of the Body of Christ, and active pursuit of expanding its ethnic and cultural diversity.

Networking

  • strategizing for clear, thoughtful, and sensitive distribution of useful information.
  • discovery and development of ways to accomplish more by working together than by working separately.
